Spring/Summer Photo Shoot Preparations!

Yesterday was quite the eventful day!  It was the day of our Spring/Summer Shopmamie photo shoot!  In efforts to unveil our new Shopmamie sophisticated image, we prepped for this photo shoot like never before and it all started with hair.  We drove the all 3 minutes drive over to Salon 828 in Wilmington and had the lovely Holly and Blake style up our hair.  The look was big and sexy so we were teased, curled, and hair sprayed to the max!  The owner, Holly, gave Amy a Bridget Bardot like tease at the crown of her head and I loved Blake’s blow dry- you can tell she is used to thick hair!  They are so sweet at Salon 828 and make you feel super comfortable as soon as you walk in the door.

Our next stop?  Over to Cheekadee near Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia.  The awesome owner and make up artist, Emily, definitely glam-med us up with her awesome skills.  She put luscious lashes on us and I don’t think we have ever felt so “done up” before!  Thank you Emily!

After hair and make up, we were onto the main event.  We could not believe how long hair and makeup took…wow…those celebrities must spend half their life getting ready!
It was finally time to meet up with photographer extraordinaire, Mike Ashe, in Old City, Philadelphia.  Mike’s work is pretty amazing and we loved him so much!  We loved how he found great photo ops and posed us (so we didn’t have to pose awkwardly like we do most of the time- haha!).  We even snuck in a picture of him when he wasn’t looking!  We are both super excited (and nervous too) to see the final result.

All-in-all it was a great day and we couldn’t have done it without all the people who contributed to our photo shoot!  Thank you so much again to Mike Ash, Cheekadee, and Salon 828!  The big guy upstairs even held off the rain for us which was pretty awesome.

xoxo The Mamie Girls

You girls are adorable! It was such a pleasure working with you. Glad that everything turned out so well. Thanks again for my treats! I wore my hoodie today and loved it for it’s comfort and style. You girls ROCK!
