We took a tour of World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington yesterday afternoon in preparation for next week’s Delaware Today Beauty Bash. Beauty Bash is being held on Wednesday, October 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. During our tour, we were blown away at the amazing and historical Queen theater. The Queen theater re-opened this past April after many renovations and they did a great job of keeping the rustic old feel mixed with a cool new vibe. It is going to be an awesome venue for this year’s Beauty Bash!

If you have never attended beauty bash before, it consists of 40 exhibitors with tons of amazing shopping, mini-makeovers, a fashion show, complimentary gift bags and best of all complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bars with specialty drinks. We will have all of our Shopmamie.com clothing there on site available for purchase (look for our hot pink changing tent). It is honestly an awesome event and usually sells out every year! For you Delaware ladies, we are giving away 2 tickets to Beauty Bash and all that you have to do is comment on this post with 1 reason why you LOVVE our little state of Delaware. Winner will receive the 2 tickets! Winner announced Tuesday at Noon.

Once again another incredibly warm and humid Fall day and of course with us being in Richmond, VA, it was probably a couple temps even higher than it was at home. We made the best of it by attempting to style for fall in light clothing. Here is what we wore through instagram pics:
Amy wore the Shopmamie Anita Dress paired with the Chain Fighter High Waist Snap Belt. We originally decided on this adorable dress to release for the holiday season because we just thought it would be so perfect for the holidays with black tights, booties, and a sweater, but just like little kids, we just couldn’t wait for Christmas.

I wore the Shopmamie Harvest Moon Skirt paired with a high waist belt, a white tank, and brown boots. And the cute Carmel Cable Sweater Wrap kept coming off and on and off again as I ventured from in and out of the air conditioning.

….and we’re out!
What we wore to the District Sample Sale on Monday night:
Amy wore the Modern Mauve Midi very well and styled it with just a basic white tank, colorful belt, and tan patent pumps. Originally, she wanted to wear it with a black top and black booties, but she said that she needed to go less wintery with the high temps and humidity outside. It was sold right off her body, so she had to change half way through the show..haha!

I decided to wear the
Bringing Sexy Back Dress which unfortunately or fortunately is completely sold out now in both black and gray. However, we are hoping to get that awesome dress back in stock! It was an easy dress to style and I paired it with black pumps, a black skinny belt, and gold earrings.

Last night we manned our booth at what we thought was one of the best and well managed events we have ever been a part of…the District Sample Sale. We were immediately greeted by Liberty Jones and Mary Amons (from Real Housewives of D.C.), our very gracious hosts of the event, who put together the rustic yet chic ambiance, the great service, incredible food and cocktails, and of course the amazing shopping.

We were slammed with eager shoppers from the onset of the VIP hour until close and our merchandise literally flew (and I mean like the wind) off the racks and tables. Amy snapped a photo of the line outside the event after parking the car and we heard that it grew much more when general admission hit.

We saw delicious sushi and mini sliders walking past us, however we were too busy to get a taste of the very appetizing looking food. Luckily, we were only 2 booths away from the Georgetown Cupcake table and they were so sweet to pack us up a box of their AMAZING cupcakes (check out the picture below).

We have more photos of this fabulous event to come! xoxo
