Amy and I went to the DMV before heading to ShopMamie this morning and in normal Mamie girl fashion, we caused a ruckus…a positive ruckus, but still a ruckus! Even though it is Friday, I thought it would be fun to do a little Daybook Awkward and Awesome recap of our little DMV trip this morning. Check it out….
Awkward :
- Telling police officer (a man) that we loved his boots and asked him where he got them and how much they cost. He said he got them through the police academy and they were $500. Then we responded, “Oh well, you might as well invest in a pair of Frye boots for that.” He looked confused.
- Amy saying she looks like a “droopy dog” in her license picture
- DMV not allowing you to smile in your license picture
- Me taking a picture of the guy inspecting Amy’s car- his name is Shawn.
- The fact that collectively Amy and I had 4 reasons that we needed to go to the DMV and that they were all way overdue.
- The DMV staff laughing at Amy and I banter back and forth about black license plates, cute sweaters, wawa coffee, how we are sweating in our coats…ect. ect.
- The fact that Amy’s next birthday/christmas present might be from the DMV.
Awesome:
- Stopped on the way for Wawa $1 coffee…so delish!!
- Amy renewing her registration and getting a new liscence and the sense of accomplishment we got from checking things off our to do lists.
- Me getting my last name and address changed on my license and registration. Yes, Jeffrey, it’s all done hunny.
- The amazing ladies that we’re actually SO sweet at the DMV! ”Hunny, are you telling me that you had the pleasure of getting married in the beautiful town of St. Michaels??” Me: “Yes, I did.” DMV lady, “Oh my goodness child, I love that area.” –Just too sweet!
- The fact that the wait of the DMV breezes by when your tweeting or playing on your iPhone.
