Super Bowl Sunday.  Do you love it for the football OR for the food, commercials, and half-time show?  I am sure that you can guess our vote, right??  Are you kidding??  Our vote is the food, commercials, and the half-time show ALL THE WAY!  I mean, maybe if the Eagles even stood a chance this year things would be different, but if you even knew us a bit, you would know that delicious food trumps all!  Check out these Super Bowl party snacks (c/o the lovely pink pistachio) that add a little flair and femininity to what is typically a very manly day.  Trust me it’s just what your man wants..haha!!

Anyone up for a Tuesday bowling session??  Y-E-S!  Who knew that bowling was popular on Tuesday nights?  After 2 bowling alleys were full with leagues, we found a local that wasn’t as crowded and set up our little picnic spot.  Yes, we snuck in apps and even some brewskis (shh!).  Amy’s beau John aka “twinkle toes” decided to make it a couple vs. couple serious bowling competition- check out the kid’s form!  I definitely carried the worst score, but Jeff “the trashman” evened things up with scoring the highest.  Amy was on point scoring strikes with her left curve ball.  I think it’s safe to say that we ended up tying at the end?  Well, I hope it’s safe to say!  It was a great time and something to spice up the mid-week night routine! xo

Item of the Week:  Sterling Necklace

Amy and I went to the DMV before heading to ShopMamie this morning and in normal Mamie girl fashion, we caused a ruckus…a positive ruckus, but still a ruckus!  Even though it is Friday, I thought it would be fun to do a little Daybook Awkward and Awesome recap of our little DMV trip this morning.  Check it out….

Awkward :

• Telling police officer (a man) that we loved his boots and asked him where he got them and how much they cost.  He said he got them through the police academy and they were $500.  Then we responded, “Oh well, you might as well invest in a pair of Frye boots for that.”  He looked confused.
• Amy saying she looks like a “droopy dog” in her license picture
• DMV not allowing you to smile in your license picture
• Me taking a picture of the guy inspecting Amy’s car- his name is Shawn.
• The fact that collectively Amy and I had 4 reasons that we needed to go to the DMV and that they were all way overdue.
• The DMV staff laughing at Amy and I banter back and forth about black license plates, cute sweaters, wawa coffee, how we are sweating in our coats…ect. ect.
• The fact that Amy’s next birthday/christmas present might be from the DMV.

Sweater: Come Away With Me Cape, Pants:  The Perfect Jegging, Boots: JCPenney

When it rains it pours!  And, let me tell ya, 2012 has already been busier than ever!  We have some awesome new ideas/plans/business adventures in the works, which Meg and I are so excited about!  It seems like everything happens all at once, why is life like that!?  Seems to always be the case with work and boys for me!  You go through a lull, then, suddenly life just happens all at once.  Work gets so busy, you meet three guys all at once….timing, I tell ya!   The lil bugger.

We had just finished up a business meeting right before we headed outside to snap a couple photos.  Luckily, the rain had let up for just long enough for me to hop into a couple puddles!  Meg and I always say we are toddlers in a grown woman’s body, and when given the chance to play in a puddle, I’m in!  – as long as I have my wellies on!

I wore our new Perfect Jeggings and our Mustard Overlap Coat for the rainy day meeting.  And of course, couldn’t forget the hunters.  I LOVE everything about this coat!  The color is awesome, love me a mustard anything this year.  It’s fitted perfectly through the waist, the printed lining is adorable and the collar keeps me cozy!

We hope the new year is finding everyone well.  And, if life seems to overwhelm at times….don’t forget to take time out to jump around in a puddle.  Your inner kid will thank you.
